Evolutionary Game Analysis of BIM Adoption among Stakeholders in PPP Projects

With the development of building information technology, Building Information Modeling (BIM) has become an important way to effectively solve cross-organization collaboration Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects, and how promote adoption BIM in PPP projects a realistic problem be solved urgently. This study discusses among stakeholders based on prospect theory evolutionary game theory. A tripartite model including governments, social capitals, contractors is established. The behavioral evolution mechanism each stakeholder explored by analyzing equilibrium, key influencing factors equilibrium strategy are analyzed using numerical simulation. results demonstrate that first, degree cost all involved BIM, as well punishment for governments’ passive promotion capitals’ reward contractors’ active application affecting stability. Second, according theory, main usually make decisions through subjective judgment perceived value which ultimately lead deviation their behaviors. deviations will hinder establishment ESS point (1, 1, 1) system difficult converge optimal state. Finally, from perspective contractors, countermeasures management implications put forward projects.
